Discovery Ganvié
Located 18 km north of Cotonou, Ganvié, the Venice of Africa is a lakeside city, which includes a few thousand wooden boxes, built on piles: a marvel and a special charm. We discover the daily life of the inhabitants (around 30000) on pirogues, the floating market, the traditional fishing scenes, souvenir shops, crafts, bars, etc. Ganvié is the most important lake city in West Africa.
08h30: Departure from Cotonou for the city of Calavi aboard a vehicle. The crossing of the pier from Calavi to Ganvié will be on a motorized boat with a roof. A guided tour will be organized by the Grand Canal Street, Floating Market, Churches, Mosques, and administrative places with a bird-watching hike.
Lunch at MB hotel in Ganvie on the lake.
Back to Cotonou at the end of the day.
